Double Sux

Very similar circumstances. I called a preflop raise. I almost folded, the preflop raise was 5 times the bb. I had limped in. I called because it was heads up and I figured I would probably double up if I hit. On the flop, I checked, he bet huge, and I went all in. 8% chance of him catching his 2-outer. I can't even feel bad when shit like that happens. This was almost 2 hours into this tourney, and maybe 30-45 minutes until reaching the money.

No or little preflop raise. I checked the flop, someone bet, and then everyone went all in. Runner runner 4 for the lose!

Best Running Times

Not poker related, but whatever. A post is better than nothing. I've figured out my pace for the two races I've run. Here they are:

4 mile - 38 minutes, 11 seconds (9:33 mile time)
10k (approx 6.2 miles) - 1 hour, 15 minutes, 1 second (12:04 mile time)

I'm running that same 10k race this year (the Hospital Hill run). It is a pretty tough 10k course, with a huge hill to climb. My goal is to get my time down to around 1 hour flat. I think this will be pretty tough, because I would need around a 9:40 mile time, and my 9:33 time above is on a downhill course.

I actually haven't been playing much poker the last couple of weeks. I lost a couple of 10 dollar double or nothings and went down to about 83 bucks. I am currently doing a 5 dollar double or nothing, we'll see how that goes.

I've noticed on the 5 dollar level that people play pretty straight. They will call you only on a draw or a made hand. They will fold with nothing. I've won two decent size pots with nothing, making on a medium size bet on the flop. This is almost all you have to win (really all you have to win is one big pot to make it to the money in these kind of games).

Thought I might try to start this back up. We'll see how it goes. I've been playing a lot of poker recently, so maybe I'll talk about that.

European Pictures 1

Okay, I am going to start tonight with just a couple pics cause I don't want to wait for the upload. These are from Paris. They light up the Eiffel tower at night for 5 minutes at the top of each hour. Its really cool to see. The second picture is from the Louvre. This lady was re-creating the picture.

The format that I'll follow will be in 3 segments, one for each city I visited (London, Paris, and Rome). More to come.
