Transient Life

Tales of a return trip.

Its been unique coming back from my week in St. Louis. Upon returning, I see empty bedrooms that were once filled with people I barely knew. Its just funny to see how little we actually can hold on to. We fill our rooms with things, and we will our houses with friends. This year I've seen how truly transitory our human situation is. My best friend is in Spain, my other closest friends are hundreds of miles away.

After helping Lori get unpacked I'm heading over to goat house to see who remains there. With all my friends there gone, I can only expect to find less familiar faces that are hostile by contrast.

I can't wait to have the familarity back next year. To be around people I know, to talk with friends who listen. Exploring is great as long as you have that to come home to.
