Broken!

It seems like its been awhile since my last update, but its only been about a week. Nothing too exciting to report. The brokeness is two-fold. First, my truck is broken. I found out the drive shaft was damaged on the trip back, that is what was causing all the vibrating. Its gonna cost about 700 bucks to fix.

Second, my arm is broken. There aren't any bones broken, it just really hurts with some specific motions. I was goofing off at the desk meeting last week, and I picked up two girls and gave them a big bear hug and I heard a popping noise. It was a little sore, but I figured it would get better. A week later its hasn't. I'm going to go to the doctor tomorrow to see whats up there.

On the plus side, one of my scholarships wasn't input correctly into JoeSS, so I'll be getting about 1200 dollars back form the university. After paying off my truck and credit card, it will leave about 300 bucks left.

Other than that, weekend plans are to spend some time in Stl. with John. I haven't been able to hang out with him at all this semester, so maybe we can get some gaming time in.

Back to work...

Oklahoma Trip

Well, if I had pictures then I would post them. Overall it was a really good trip. Lori and I drove to Oklahoma Friday afternoon after class. We got a few flurries after we got past Tulsa, and the roads got a little slick.

Friday night we just relaxed, watched a movie and went too bed. Nothing too exciting. Saturday we slept in, had a late breakfast of bacon, eggs, and toast. We went to Church on Saturday, and then out to dinner. Dinner was at a place called Bourbon St. Cafe. They had some live musician playing Jazz. The dinner was for my mom's birthday. My family left after dinner, and Lori, Ray, and I stayed behind. Ray and I had a beer and we listened and talked for a good hour or two. After dinner, we stopped by Walmart, and Lori got some temp dye for her hair. We got back to my house, and Liana wanted to dye her too, so they made a second trip and then they both stayed up all night dyeing each other's hair.

Sunday, another ice storm was passing through Oklahoma. We left pretty early, but the roads were still bad. It took over 2 hours to get through Tulsa, a semi had jacknifed across the highway. We had to actually detour off the interstate and get back on another on ramp. Lots of cars slid off the road.

We took our time and made it back safely, but unfortunately my truck is in bad shape. It started to vibrate a lot on the way back, and by the time we made it to Rolla, it was making all kinds of broken noises. I'm taking it in later this week to get it checked out.

Overall good time.

Weekend Times!!!

Yay for the weekend! Its been another long week with school and work, but I've managed to get a lot of time spent applying for jobs as well, so thats good.

Today I'm watching Corpse Bride with Lori, and then I have to work at the Quad. Chances are I'll spend most of my weekend there, since my new kids can't start working until next week. I don't have much hmwk to do either, since next week is a test week, so it looks like I'll be doing a lot of reading.

I got to see the goat house crew a lot this week. I went over there to do some hmwk and watch lost. Played some Naruto, damn Kyubi Naruto is insane! Haven't been playing many video games besides Animal Crossing, which is slow work when your trying to make bells (money). I went out to dinner with Liz last night at Mandarin Garden, and we were going to go drink at El Maguey's but we just went back to her place and watched Parent Trap. Last Thursday I got tipsy off beer for the first time, and it wasn't as bad as I thought. Beer is nice cause it seems to get into your system faster than hard alchohol. Still experimenting... : )
