Dreams
John and I are planning on visiting KC tomorrow. He's got to talk to some professors on campus, and I'll be firming up some apartment details. Should be a very quick trip, we're planning on being back tomorrow night.
Finally, I had a couple of very weird dreams last night. The first one was of a haunted house. It was extremely big, and I remember several sets of stairs leading down to lower levels. We went down the stairs (can't remember who else was with me), and the stairs ended in a gigantic room. It reminded me of a gymnasium room. The stairs didn't reach the floor of the gym room though, they stopped very high up where the roof would be. There was also some sort of upstairs room, and it had some significance, but I can't remember what it is.
The second dream I had was about some sort of gambling device. It was a poker game, but it had a machine like a pinball machine that you had to pull to get your cards. There we're all kinds of weird bonus and things you could get with it. I don't remember any details.

Snow Day
"The outage occurred at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday due to a malfunction in the main transformer on campus. UMR crews must install new fuses in the transformer before power can be restored. Those fuses will be shipped from the Chicago area today and are not expected to arrive before tonight. Therefore, power may not be restored until Tuesday morning. Still Alive 2
I think I'm going to continue writing in this. Don't really know if it will serve a purpose or not, but recently I've had some goals I'd like to keep track of. I plan on using this blog for a few purposes: a personal summary, a greater news update, and to help create an online "portfolio".
Right now, lots of personal news. I'll be relocating to KC in December and starting my job with Garmin. Ray and I will be roommates, which is a big relief from the thought of living alone. I just bought the new Weird Al CD, not too bad; it has a polka on it. Maybe I'll post conclusions later...
Greater world news, Amendment 2 passed in
This is a pretty sporadic post, but hopefully I'll learn some structure over the next couple of weeks. My goal of creating an online portfolio includes the creation of a website under goathouse.net to post some of my java programs and such.
