Reasons for Reading

Concepts and ideas that I have that are still in their infancy, or thoughts that I've just started wrapping my mind around are more fully developed and explored through books. I almost consider it laziness, acquiring a better understanding by taking the hours of work an author puts into exploring the different facets of these ideas. I justify it however by my acceptance that it is useless to reinvent the wheel, and that all great accomplishments are based on the work of many unseen, unheard, unpraised individuals.
